Concept Summary

The concept aimed to create a captivating and sustainable home for the FIFA Museum during the 2022 World Cup, aligning with Hyundai's "Goal of the Century" sustainability campaign. This reinforced Hyundai's commitment to sustainability and established its brand image as an environmentally conscious sponsor. The task was to create a temporary, 90% sustainable pavilion for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, housing historical football artefacts and aligning with the sustainability campaign. The design combined traditional and modern elements, featuring a rammed earth facade for aesthetics and emotional connections to football history. The versatile layout catered to various functions, from museum exhibitions to campaign events, enhancing the visitor experience. This minimised resource consumption, meeting Hyundai's sustainability goals. The pavilion's innovative use of sustainable materials showcased Hyundai as a pioneer in promoting sustainability within sports and museums, differentiating the brand and reducing the carbon footprint. It also provided a space for football enthusiasts to connect with history and sustainability, promoting awareness and dialogue on global issues. Overall, the pavilion embodied a commitment to a greener future, contributing to Qatar's and Hyundai's sustainability goals.
