Stage: KEYNOTE LOUNGE 1
Stature: Power presentation
The Romanian photographer Mihaela Noroc has traveled to more than 60 countries since 2013, portraying women of various cultures. She also knows the life stories of all women and learns a lot about discrimination, servitude, fear, but also about courage and dignity. „For me, beauty is diversity. It is much more than what we often see today in mass media „. Noroc shows that beauty is conditioned by naturalness, self-assurance and authenticity.
Mihaela Noroc is a 33 years old Romanian photographer who spent most of the last 6 years traveling in different corners of the world, photographing women and listening to their stories. The result is the highly acclaimed project The Atlas of Beauty. Mihaela has over 1,3 million followers on social media and her Atlas of Beauty has been featured by Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Oprah, CNN, BBC and has recently become a best selling book. Reaching a large audience all over the world, Mihaela’s work challenges the definition of beauty encouraging every woman to be herself and find her own path. In a more and more turbulent and divided world, The Atlas of Beauty also sends a message about love, tolerance and acceptance.
