Concept Summary

THE CHALLENGE: In March 2020, everything changed. COVID 19 paralyzed the entire live communication. A period full of digital and streaming events followed. But especially in 2021 people wanted to see people again. That's why it was clear to us: We wanted to bring people together - safely and in compliance with the applicable COVID restrictions. THE IDEA: But what if there is no need for an exhibition hall for an innovative event? What if we don't bring people to DIGITAL X, but bring DIGITAL X to the people? What if we could even support small stores, businesses and restaurants trade? And what if we could even make "sustainability" the main aspect of the event? The idea was born. We leave the exhibition hall and enter the city. A disruptive and decentralized concept that was completely new in Europe. We don't build artificial worlds in exhibition halls, but use the existing infrastructures of the city for this purpose. Restaurants, bars, cafés, parks and theaters become event locations. THE EXECUTION: We transformed over 150 locations into the home of DIGITAL X 2021. Our over 100 partners presented themselves not in trade fair booths, but in exclusive locations. 5 highlight stages provided space for more than 235 speakers. All brandhouses, stages, innovations and marketplaces were within walking distance. And those who didn't feel like moving could simply ride an e-scooter or be taken around the city in one of the many Polestar electric shuttles. The result? DIGITAL X was the first major event in the pandemic. Through the extraordinary and decentralized concept throughout the city, we set an example in Europe and showed what is possible.
