GLÜCK AUF! INSPIRED BY THE RUHR AREA OR HOW CULINARY STORYTELLING BRINGS THE GRAND HALL ZOLLVEREIN BRAND TO LIFE The Ruhrgebiet stands for coal, honest work and Zechenkultur. A unique symbol of this is the Essen regional Zollverein®, once the largest and most productive coal mine in the world. Today it is an important piece of industrial and economic history and is the only mine to be granted UNESCO world heritage status. At its heart is the Grand Hall ZOLLVEREIN® event location which plays host to Kirberg Catering. This event location gives its guests and customers the chance to experience Zechenkultur in a unique way as part of events. The challenge for Kirberg? To convey the brand essence of the Grand Hall – with the uniqueness of the Zechenkultur and the Ruhr area – through authentic culinary storytelling. Kirberg Catering showcases the history of the area through its corporate food concept – a concept which is reflected in the catering, the space and the decoration, and which brings the traditional Zechenatmosphäre to life. Here, the authenticity of the former mine plays just as big a part as the modern, multifunctional features and the unique playability of the event location. From the Bergmannstagung to the Reviergala there are no limits to how an event can be produced. Whether you want something simple and uncomplicated or something refined, elaborate and exceptional – for any event in the Grand Hall, Kirberg can create a unique catering as part of the culinary story to suit any customer, their desires and their budget. Always authentic and in the modern Bergmanns Style. Inspired by the Ruhr area and with a touch of glitz and glamour if needed. Glück auf!
