Sven Sören Beyer is founder and artistic director of the Berlin-based artist collective phase7 performing.arts. In terms of staging, he focuses on combining media and high-tech means with dance, language and music. He works as a director and choreographer as well as a media and video artist. He received his training at the Palucca-Schule in Dresden as well as at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst “Ernst Busch”, Berlin. The use of, among other things, real-time software, drones and wave field synthesis stands for the artistic work of Sven Sören Beyer and phase7 performing.arts. The particularly imposing nature of the staging has led to many international guest performances and commissioned works, such as at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, for the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall at the Brandenburg Gate (2014&2020) and the Day of German Unity on the Main in Frankfurt (2015), as well as large-scale productions for the European Capitals of Culture Stavanger (2008), Umea (2014) and Plovdiv (2019).
