The software industry has long been familiar with user conferences as co-creative events that also strengthen the relevant brand. This works in other sectors of the economy as well – as an intelligent and strategically staged form of live communication. The speaker has done his own research, published books and articles and organised his own events in this area. He presents various dimensions of impact that emerge around the collaborative ongoing development of products.

Profile
Stefan Luppold is a professor at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Ravensburg, where he heads the programme in ‘Trade Show, Convention and Event Management’. He founded the eponymous institute (Institut für Messe-, Kongress- und Eventmanagement [IMKEM]) in 2009.
Prior to that, he was involved in international projects in the event industry for two decades at trade show and convention companies, stadiums and arenas, cultural institutions and the event departments of academic and scientific associations and event agencies.
He conveys his knowledge and expertise to a wide audience as the editor and author of more than 20 textbooks, co-editor of the ‘Praxishandbuch Kongress-, Tagungs- und Konferenzmanagement’ published in 2017, speaker at industry associations and guest lecturer at universities in Germany and abroad.
Professor Luppold heads the ‘Landesfachkommission Messe, Event und Tourismus’ (State Commission for Trade Shows, Events and Tourism) of the Economic Council of Baden-Württemberg, and is a member of the advisory board of mice:lab Bodensee. He has been the chairman of the supervisory board of Schneeweiss AG Interior for several years.
