Profile
TV and top chef
We all know Mike Süsser for over 10 years from various TV formats, whether the cooking professionals or My Restaurant your restaurant the professional comes.
Unorganized kitchens, disrespectful handling of products and sluggish staff drive him crazy. But the boxing enthusiast Mike keeps his nerves even in seemingly hopeless situations.
“I don’t see myself as a culinary artist, but rather as a creative craftsman,” says Mike. And the professional chef understands his craft perfectly. With a lot of Austrian abuse and infectious enthusiasm, Mike manages to discipline even supposedly advice-resistant cases of hardship among restaurateurs and spur them on to top performance.
Mike Süsser will be bored on 08 January 1971 in Itzehoe/Northern Germany. He completed his training as a chef in the restaurant “Zum Aussichtssturm” in his hometown of Burg Dithmarschen. He then cooks himself halfway around the world: Zermatt, USA, Davos, Hamburg, Fuerteventura and Madeira. After his last engagement as chef in the hood decorated restaurant “Bubberl Gut” in Salzburg he finally founded his first cooking event studio in Gmunden in the Salzkammergut in 2004, followed by three more.
This passionate boxing fan not only enjoys upscale international cuisine but also regional home cooking. Mike himself describes his way of cooking as “REGIO fresh” (he uses regional products and makes high demands on freshness).
