AUMA says: No exhibitors – no trade show. If all interpersonal forms of communication were digitalised, trade shows and fairs without face-to-face-communication would become redundant. AUMA asks: To which extent does it make sense to digitalise fairs and exhibitions?
Dr. Peter Neven studied Economics and Social Sciences (Universities of Duisburg and Co-logne) and subsequently completed his doctorate at the University of Cologne and carried out research activities. He was Head of Division „Fairs and Exhibitions“at the ZDH Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks (German Confederation of Skilled Crafts) and since 1988 to date at AUMA. From 1988 – 2007 he was Head of Division and Member of the Management. From 2007 to date he is CEO, solely in charge of the business management, also Head of the AUMA Institute of the German Trade Fair Industry. His main topics are: Research (trade fairs and exhibitions), education and advanced training, Marketing („Messen Made in Germany“), Judicial and fiscal subjects and technics and logistics.
