Jury statement:
In the industrial, authentic ambience distinguished by meticulous attention to detail in the most positive sense, the organiser staged a two-day, highly interactive networking event for multipliers from industry, food futurists, industry experts, influencers and home appliance specialists to gather ideas and set standards for our future nutritional and food preparation ecosystems.
The initiator of the event skilfully combined personal encounters with a consistent social media concept. Workshops with a low interaction threshold, customised training and education and the technologies used enabled rapid immersion in the issues as well as an intensive exchange of ideas and information. The active recruitment of international leads also ensured a high standard of interaction.
The jury found the flawless implementation of the primary theme ‘Interaction of Humans and Machines in the Kitchen 4.0’ compelling.

At RHIZOME – Connected Kitchen Conference powered by Home Connect, 120 visionaries, industry experts, influencers and home appliance specialists designed tomorrow‘s connected homes and future food chain scenarios on 4 and 5 September 2018. The highly interactive 2-day networking event for industry multipliers, food futurists, and creatives showcased seminal keynotes and target-oriented workshop formats around the way we will eat, cook and interact with our devices in the future. Active recruiting among international leads secured a high level of interaction and input. In the unique industrial-style event spaces of Berlin’s Fabrik 23, the participants who had travelled to Berlin from 15 countries gathered right after the IFA to jointly create impulses for our future food and cooking ecosystems.
